Families from our Emergency Shelter Program who are waiting for their own permanent housing but no longer require the intensive services of our shelter, live in Sunrise House. Families receive comprehensive case management in the same structured format as in our shelter while case plans focus on employment, income and permanent housing. Families continue to receive support with mental health services, all basic needs and access to community resources.
Sunrise House is a learning model for successful independence. Clients prepare their own meals, pay 30% of their net income or $100/month (whichever amount is higher) as rent and make a sliding scale contribution toward cost of utilities. Sunrise House gives families a safe place to learn about household finances.
