Updated: May 18, 2022

Join us on Thursday, October 13, 2022, along with Honorary Gala Chair Kip Bateman, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of HOME of Somerset County. We are excited to highlight our honorees and all that they contribute to our organization.

30th Anniversary Gala Thursday, October 13, 2022 Raritan Valley Country Club Rt. 28, Bridgewater, NJ

Kathy Savo • Bill Jonat Memorial Award
Kathy is the founder of HOME of Somerset (founded as Interfaith Hospitality Network of Somerset County). Since the agency's inception in 1992, Kathy has served as a staunch advocate for homeless families through her passion for volunteer work. Kathy's compassion and drive to truly make a difference in her community continues to benefit at-risk families 30 years later from her original vision for emergency services. Kathy has served on the Board of Trustees and has volunteered through her congregation, while also accessing HOME to many resources along with her husband, Bill.

Chris Perini, Drivers FX • Beacon Award
Chris is the general manager of Drivers Tire and Service since its inception 23 years ago. Chris values community work because it is his local community that allows his business to be successful. His involvement with HOME began through his friendship with a HOME Board of Trustee member. Being inspired by his friend's generosity to give back to the community, Chris felt that those who are less fortunate deserve help from those who can offer help. Helping maintain the HOME agency vehicles, heading our vehicle donation program and providing support for client transportation serves as an invaluable asset.

St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church • Faith in Action Award
St. Bernard's was the second congregation to join our emergency shelter rotation as a host congregation in 1992. With a strong passion for community missions, leadership at St. Bernard's established a partnership with HOME with much enthusiasm from dedicated volunteers. Congregants have actively taken on roles on the Board of Trustees and also pursued HOME's first agency vehicle in order to allow access for client transportation.

The Arthur E. and Elizabeth B. Roswell Foundation • Inspiration Award
Established in 1987 as a private family foundation, The Arthur E. and Elizabeth B. Roswell Foundation values providing resources for community organizations. Their focus in giving primarily for basic needs and the environment greatly aligns with HOME's mission. The Roswell Foundation has been a supporter of HOME since 2014, which has directly contributed to programming and has allowed access to basic needs support.
