Families from our Emergency Shelter Program who are working on goals towards permanent housing, but no longer require the intensive services of our shelter, have the opportunity to qualify for Sunrise House. Families receive comprehensive case management in the same structured format as in our shelter while case plans focus on employment, income and permanent housing. Families continue to have access to community resources, and receive support with mental health services and all basic needs.
Sunrise House is a learning model for successful independence. Clients prepare their own meals, pay 30% of their net income or $100/month (whichever amount is higher) as rent, and make a sliding scale contribution toward cost of utilities. Sunrise House gives families a safe place to learn about household finances while working on educational and employment-driven goals.
