From the Executive Director

In a year where everything seemed to come to a standstill, our supporters never stopped moving! We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity of individuals, groups and congregations that enabled us to carry out our mission in this challenging year. With an increased focus on food insecurity and basic needs assistance, our volunteers quickly responded to all of our needs as we prepared our families for seemingly unknown times on top of already challenging circumstances. With the help of our good-willed supporters, we developed unique and creative solutions to ensure that our families remained comfortable and stable. By using hotels for emergency shelter, distributing more food and ensuring that our families had access to virtual learning and mental health services, we were able to do what our agency does best: prepare, adapt and engage.

Our dedicated staff, Board of Trustees and unwavering supporters provided so many resources for those in need. From single mothers who are essential workers, to families already under extreme financial stress and dealing with past and present traumas, our community truly established our mission as a priority. For that, I cannot thank you all enough, and my dedication to continuing our mission into 2021 is stronger than ever.

With much gratitude,
Alyssa Martini
Executive Director
