Youth, Adults and Seniors! Enter your favorite holiday cookie in IHNSC’s Holiday Cookie Bake-Off.

It’s Easy to Enter

  1. Bake 3 dozen of your favorite cookies at home.
  2. Drop off your cookies, along with the official entry form and $10 entry fee, on Friday, December
 7, noon to 5 pm. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Ave., Somerville. One dozen 
 will be judged; the other 2 dozen will be sold at Saturday’s bake sale.
  3. Preliminary judging takes place Friday evening. The top 5 bakers in each category will move to 
 the final judging on Saturday. Finalists will be notified by 8 pm on December 7.
  4. Final judging will take place on Saturday, December 8 at William-Sonoma, Commons Mall, 
 Bridgewater, between 11:30 and 2 pm.

Bake cookies!

First prize in each category is a cooking class for 10 at Williams-Sonoma at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.


  1. All entries must be homemade, home baked cookies. Cookie bars are acceptable.
  2. Professional chefs/bakers are not eligible to enter the contest.
  3. Three dozen cookies must be received between noon and 5 pm on Friday, December 7 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Ave, Somerville NJ.
  4. One dozen must be designated for judging; the other two dozen will be sold as part of a bake sale on Saturday, December 8.
  5. Three categories of bakers: Youth: underage 19 or a fulltime high school student. Adult, ages 19 to 64; Senior ages 65 and older.
  6. Entry fee of $10.
  7. Cookies will be judged on taste, appearance and creativity.
  8. Five finalists in each category will be selected on Friday, December 7, and notified by 8 pm.
  9. Final judging will take place on Saturday, December 8 between 11:30 and 2 pm at Williams-Sonoma at Commons Mall, Bridgewater.
